Attorneys Dedicated to Justice

Blaske & Blaske was founded in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1940 by Edmund R. and Jayne Blaske, and we are thriving today under son Thomas H. Blaske. The Blaske law firm expanded to include an office in Ann Arbor in 1989, which has since become our main office.

Tom Blaske - attorney Blaske & Blaske

Thomas H. Blaske

Tom has practiced in Ann Arbor since 1976. He is listed in the Best Lawyers in America and has authored more than 100 articles and books on subjects related to trial law. An infrequent thespian but regular supporter of the arts, Tom especially enjoys the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, of which his wife, Mary Steffek Blaske, is Executive Director. He also writes poetry under a pseudonym for the New Yorker. To Tom, practicing law is a way to make the world a more just place. He loves Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and aspires to be the kind of lawyer his dogs think he is. (To read the dogs' perspective on his practice, click here.) To download Tom's resume, click here.

John Turck - attorney, Blaske & Blaske

John F. Turck IV

John began working for Blaske & Blaske in 1995 as a clerk. He then joined the firm as an associate in 2004 after receiving academic honors from the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, Wisconsin. John is focused, dedicated, and innovative, bringing all of his energy and his deep ethical understandings (in which subject he received some of those academic honors) to every case. He remains very devoted to the University of Wisconsin, and shares Tom's overarching passion for the importance of legal ethics. He also loves playing soccer, chess, reading and, more than anything else, spending time with his wife Stacy and their newborn daughter Adelynn. To download John's resume, click here.
